A while back I came up with a term for those people who are participating in actions that have no real benefit to their audience or to their show (Casturbation). Today I was listening back an episode I did where I talk about what happens when your content inspires your audience to tell someone. It goes something like this:

1. You provide information that impacts them emotionally, intellectually, or both.

2. They can see where they will use this information in business or with family and friends. It's useful, entertaining, inspiring, etc.

3. The audience member can't wait to tell a friend, or they have to respond to the podcast host to say thank you.

eargasmFor me it was walking around a pool in Livonia Michigan listening to ProfitCast when Brian said you podcast can be Good, Cheap, or Quick (but you can only choose two). I believe at one point (being my myself)  I tried to high five myself. I HAD TO respond. I immediately pulled up my phone and went to Brian's contact page and left him a message. I then told my private Facebook group. I then told a friend at lunch. The point is I had a feeling inside of me, it was building up, and I HAD TO tell someone. This needed to come out.

Today I have a name for this.

I call it: Eargasm.

Eargasm:
(noun)

The physical and emotional sensation experienced at the peak of listening, usually resulting from the delivery of extremely rare content to the ears, brain, and heart (emotions). This is often accompanied by the act of telling someone about the content.

Example: Tyler grew his audience by giving everyone in his audience an eargasm.
