I've had a few people get confused on getting their podcast into the Zune Marketplace. So here is what I know.
Where is the Zune Marketplace?
Much like iTunes is not a website, its a software program. Inside iTunes you have the "Podcast Directory." Inside the zune software, you have a "Marketplace" and in the marketplace you have podcasts.
How Do I Submit My Podast to Be Included in the Zune Marketplace?
1. Download and install the Zune software. (new window)
2. Start the software and click on Marketplace at the top.
3. Click on Podcasts down a bit and to the left of the word "Marketplace" at the top of the screen.
4. Scroll down and you will see an option near the center/right side of the screen that shows " suggest a podcast ".
5. Enter your RSS feed (or feedburner feed if you're using it) and click Submit.
I'm not sure of the time frame it takes to get listed, but I'll keep you posted.
Forever I’m afraid 🙁
Well, I am a podcaster, and nothing has eluded me most, nor baffled me with its’ mystery ………… than zune.
For some reason, just because I am based in Canada, I cannot access the MARKETPLACE button. I cannot even SEE the MARKETPLACE button, so forget about even submitting your podcast.
Something that is so difficult to interact with, me thinks, begs me to ask, “Do I really want to be a part of something, called ZUNE ?? ?
Oh Yes, there is 1 more thing that’s even more mystical …. and that is the Apple ID. Absolutely elusive. Also, because my ip is based in Canada, I could not get an Apple ID.
Thanks for posting this, worked perfectly. Now I’ll wait to see when it shows up.
Joe
I’ve sent my RSS feed in like 4 times in 2 months Jan/Feb 2012 now its 5th of March 2012 and still not in the Zune Market Place
I’m going to submitted my feed to Zune like 100 times a day til they get tired of me submitting it; just too piss them off like they are pisses me off!!!
ITunes appoved me within 3 hours of my podcast submission
Just submitted our new fan podcast to the Zune marketplace. However, it didn’t give me any kind of confirmation? Seems kind of strange considering how iTunes & Blackberry did it. Anyway, I thought maybe I was missing something, so I submitted it again (same result). Hopefully, they don’t dock me for doing it twice…We’ll see!
P.S. Since this post is from a while back, I didn’t download any software, I just submitted it via their link on their website. Same process though.
Good luck podcasters!
I like this site it’s a master piece! Glad I discovered this on google.
I might also like to convey that most people who find themselves with out health insurance can be students, self-employed and people who are jobless. More than half with the uninsured are really under the age of 35. They do not sense they are needing health insurance since they are young as well as healthy. Its income is often spent on real estate, food, in addition to entertainment. A lot of people that do go to work either entire or not professional are not offered insurance via their jobs so they move without with the rising tariff of health insurance in the United States. Thanks for the suggestions you reveal through this site.
