Patreon CEO Jack Conte: Patreon IS SUSTAINABLE for the future

Patreon Update

In a recent CNBC article, they stated that Jack Conte the CEO of Patreon has said their business model was not sustainable. I did find it weird that in the video you don’t hear Jack say that. In a recent Google Hangout Jack actually explains who that was taken out of context and is blatantly untrue in an emotional response (around the 5: 15-minute mark).

If you’re new to Patreon, it is a crowdfunding platform that takes about 10% of payments to creators ( Podcasters, Musicians, Gamers, Artists, YouTubers etc).

In regards to their payment issue, the hade a database issue. They also talk about hate speech vs free speech.

They also mention that features such as yearly subscriptions are coming in the future.
